Here’s the  latest news on that from  from the Chicago Tribune

It describes how the independent movies marketplace is dying out really quickly.  At the Sundance Film Festival, which wraps up tomorrow, they introduced a new video-on-demand service called Sundance Selects.

The have already released 3 titles the same day that they debuted at the film festival.  It’s like being there, without the expense of being there!

Sundance Selects is “a huge step forward in ‘event cinema,’ bringing the excitement of the festival right into communities all over America,” said E1 Entertainment International’s Charlotte Mickie in a statement. (She helped acquire two of the films, “The Shock Doctrine” and “7 Days.”)

This is just another step all of us crazed movie buffs have imagined – more and more and more free access to more and more films, whether they are brand new or 60 years old.

I was skimming through some stuff on Amazon and came across these really cool devices that allow you to make any kind of connection without taking the tv off the wall! It’s called an HDMI port saver.

I’ve ordered one to test it out. It’s cheap enough and if it works out, it will surely solve a big problem I’ve had, and I’m betting many others of you also.

They make right angles…male to female….female to male….horizontal…..270 degrees….vertical flat and more.

Here’s the one I’ve ordered.   Is this a great invention or what?

Do you currently own a Roku Player? If so, you may not realize that not only can you watch your Netflix movies and Amazon on Demand but you can watch certain television shows also. Some of these TV shows include: Suze Orman, Mad Money, Fast Money, CNN, CNN Daily, CBS Evening News, Travel Channel, etc.

Step 1 Hook up the Roku Player to your TV per instructions provided with the player.

Step 2 Add the Mediafly Channel to your settings. To do this click on Channel Store from the Home screen on the Roku player. Find Mediafly and add channel.

Step 3 Once the channel is added, select Mediafly and click on popular videos and you will see different categories to choose from. Find the category you want to watch, such as CBS Evening News will be listed under the News Category. Select and begin watching. There are other channels to add that are FREE. The Pandora Channel lets you listen to music from the Roku Player by finding artists that you like. It’s personalized to your own music preference.
